DWM semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9×19mm, Originally manufactured as a P.04 Navy Luger in 1917, this example was reworked after the war into a P.08 configuration for police use — a fascinating piece combining Imperial Navy origins with Weimar-era police service history. The top of the barrel extension is marked "1917" over the chamber, with an Imperial Navy crown (also present on the left side of the breechblock), Crown/M proofs, and the serial number on the left. The right side of the barrel is stamped with a "TP" above an eagle, indicating rework by the Berlin police armory, and the left side of the frame is stamped "1917." The toggle carries the intertwined "DWM" monogram, and the left side of the barrel extension is fitted with a Schiwy safety — a distinctive police-added feature.
