Shipping, returns, terms and privacy. Written to be read rather than to be survived — but they are still the terms you agree to when you buy from us.
Shipping policy
What we can ship depends on what it is and where you are. There are three cases and no exceptions to any of them.
Firearms
California customers collect firearms at our counter in Corona. Out-of-state customers may have a firearm shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL) in their own state, who completes the transfer under that state’s law. We verify every receiving dealer’s licence against the ATF listing before shipping, and we ship only to the dealer — never to a customer address. Flat $35 per firearm; your receiving dealer’s transfer fee is separate and paid to them.
Ammunition
We do not ship ammunition to any address, in any state. California requires a face-to-face transfer and a DOJ eligibility check on every ammunition sale. Ammunition ordered here is collected in Corona.
Optics, accessories and parts
Ship anywhere we are legally permitted to send them. Certain items — magazines above ten rounds among them — cannot be shipped into California or several other states; those restrictions are shown on the product page before you add anything to the cart.
Timing
In-stock items ship within one to two business days. An order containing both a firearm and a shipped item splits into two deliveries; the shipped part does not wait on the firearm’s ten-day period.
Return policy
All sales of the following are final
- Once a transfer is completed, all firearms are final sale.
- Items ordered specifically for you are not eligible for return or exchange.
- Products that have been installed, used or modified after receipt are non-returnable.
- Anything sold as pre-owned or “as is” is final sale.
- National Firearms Act (NFA) regulated items cannot be returned.
Fees
DROS and dealer fees are non-refundable. If your initial DROS expires before you collect, you are responsible for the re-DROS fee.
A restocking fee of 20% of the firearm price applies to any return caused by a failed California-mandated background check.
Prohibited persons
Where a private party transfer cannot be completed because both the seller and the buyer are prohibited persons, we are required by law to surrender the firearm to a law enforcement agency.
Warranty
Firearms are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty. Those warranties are handled directly by the manufacturer and are not covered by any warranty, express or implied, from California Guns and Ammo or its parent company. If your firearm needs repair or replacement under warranty, contact the manufacturer directly — keep your purchase documentation and warranty information.
Terms of service
1 · Introduction
By accessing or using this site you agree to comply with these Terms. They apply to all visitors, users and purchasers.
2 · Eligibility
By using this site you represent that you are at least 18 years old for long gun purchases or 21 for handgun purchases under California law; that you are legally eligible to purchase and possess firearms under federal and California law (Penal Code §§ 29800–29835, 30300–30325); and that you will not use this site for unlawful purposes.
3 · Compliance with law
All transactions are subject to federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922 and ATF regulations) and California law (Penal Code §§ 16520, 26500–26625, 27500–28000). All firearms must be transferred through a licensed dealer. California’s ten-day waiting period, background check (DROS) and firearm safety certification requirements apply to every transfer.
4 · Prohibited activities
You agree not to attempt to purchase firearms or ammunition illegally, to violate California’s Assault Weapons Control Act or Unsafe Handgun Act, to resell firearms in violation of Penal Code § 26500, or to use this site to facilitate a straw purchase (Penal Code § 27515).
5 · Disclaimer and liability
Inventory is subject to availability. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the site or uninterrupted access. Firearm specifications are supplied by manufacturers — verify details before purchase. We are not liable for errors in listings or pricing, for unlawful use of firearms purchased through this site, or for indirect damages arising from use of the site.
6 · Intellectual property, termination and governing law
All content — logos, text, images — is owned by California Guns and Ammo and protected under copyright law. We reserve the right to refuse service and to terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or applicable law. These Terms are governed by California law and disputes are resolved in Riverside County, California.

Privacy policy
What we collect
Two separate things, held for different reasons. Commercial data — your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, order history and, if you join, your membership record. Regulatory data — the information California and federal law require us to record on a firearm or ammunition transfer, including identification details, DROS submissions and ATF Form 4473 records.
Why the two are not the same
Regulatory records are created because the law requires them, retained for the period the law specifies, and disclosed only to the agencies entitled to see them. They are not marketing data, they are never sold, and they are not used to target advertising. You cannot ask us to delete them while the retention period runs — that is not a choice we have.
Commercial data
Used to process orders, tell you when something is ready for pickup, and — if you opt in — send you email about new arrivals. You can unsubscribe at any time and ask us to delete your marketing record.
Sharing
Payment processing, shipping carriers, and the receiving FFL on an out-of-state transfer, in each case limited to what that party needs. Law enforcement and regulators where the law requires it.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it. Requests to info@caligunsandammo.com. These rights do not extend to records we are legally required to keep.
