Details

Remington-manufactured U.S. Model 1903A3 bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, in excellent new-old-stock condition. The rifle wears a Remington Arms "RA" barrel dated 12-43 (December 1943) and has an "R"-marked bolt with matching R-marked bolt components. The bore is a mirror.

The Model 1903A3 was the World War II-simplified evolution of the 1903 Springfield, adopting a receiver-mounted aperture (peep) rear sight and greater use of stamped components to speed wartime production, while retaining the strong Mauser-derived action in .30-06. Remington was a principal producer of the 1903A3, and this example pairs a correct December 1943 Remington barrel with a Remington R-marked bolt and components. In excellent, new-old-stock condition with a bright mirror bore, this is a highly desirable representative of Remington's wartime 1903A3 production for the U.S. martial arms collector and shooter alike.
