Smith-Corona-manufactured U.S. Model 1903A3 bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, in excellent condition. The rifle is fitted with a Remington Arms "RA" barrel dated 7-44 (July 1944) and has a mirror bore.

The Model 1903A3 was the World War II-simplified evolution of the 1903 Springfield, featuring a receiver-mounted aperture (peep) rear sight and greater use of stamped components to speed production, in .30-06. Alongside Remington, the Smith-Corona Typewriter Company was a wartime producer of the 1903A3 — Smith-Corona rifles are a distinct and collectible maker among U.S. martial arms. This example pairs a Smith-Corona receiver with a July 1944 Remington barrel and presents in excellent condition with a bright mirror bore, making it a very desirable representative of Smith-Corona's wartime production for the collector and shooter alike.
