Finnish M/27 Mosin-Nagant bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62×54R, built on a Remington-made receiver and fitted with a 1935-dated (F-marked), "D"-marked Tikkakoski (Tikka) barrel. The rifle is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and mechanically, with a mirror bore. It comes with a cleaning rod and sling.
The M/27 was Finland's first indigenous modification of the Mosin-Nagant, setting the pattern for the later M/28, M/28-30, and M/39 rifles. Like many Finnish Mosins, this example is built on a reused receiver — here a Remington-made receiver, one of the Mosin-Nagant actions produced in the United States on Imperial Russian contract during World War I and later taken into Finnish service. The "D" barrel marking indicates the chamber throat was reamed to accept the Finnish D166 heavy ball cartridge (.310"). Mated to a Tikkakoski barrel and finished as an M/27, it makes a historically layered and collectible Finnish rifle, presenting in excellent condition with a bright mirror bore and excellent mechanics, complete with a cleaning rod and sling.
